• Prestwood Country Club, one of Darlington County's oldest and finest private family clubs, was established in 1914 by virtue of a generous donation of land that made the Club a reality. The Club, located on the outskirts of the bustling city of Hartsville, is nestled in one of Hartsville's oldest residential communities along the shore of Prestwood Lake.

• During its formative years members enjoyed, swimming, boating, and dancing in an open-air pavilion. The Club once even hosted the Glenn Miller Band. The Club has continued to grow and expand over the years, yet it has continued to maintain and preserve its unique natural setting while remaining a place of recreation and amusement for its members and guests.

• Prestwood Country Club strives to build on this storied foundation to ensure that our Club will remain one of the most hospitable venues for family recreation and corporate functions for years to come.
